The boy described the scene as “bloody.” The boy said: “The main gate was closed from the outside, so I opened it and entered. The door to their room was open but the curtain was raised. I entered inside and found them unconscious and with blood surrounding them.”
What did the police say?
With the disappearance of the main suspect, Kiwat, police are investigating all possible angles of the case, including the suspicion of an extramarital affair. However, police said preliminary investigation suggests the grisly killings may have been caused by the couple having three daughters and no son.
The police were quoted as saying that Kiwat poisoned his wife and daughters before slaughtering them.

An investigator told HT that a neighbor told them that the couple had a verbal argument on Tuesday night. “They said the couple had an argument, but they didn’t hear anything but loud noises, so we don’t know the reason for the argument,” the officer said. Investigators who viewed surveillance camera footage saw the accused running – around five in the morning – from the street near the house. “His phone was switched off in Jahangirpuri,” he said.
The police said that a PCR call was received at 8.07 am on Wednesday about the bodies dumped inside a room on the ground floor of the house.
Kewat is originally from Patna district in Bihar state, and has been living in the area with his wife and children for the past two years. Their relatives said that the couple did not usually quarrel. Kewat worked as a vegetable seller in Azadpur Mandi.
A case has been registered under Section 103 (1) (murder) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and multiple teams have been formed to track down Kewat and arrest him, police said.
