The rumors started after Owens released a trailer for her new project titled Bride of Charlie. Soon after, social media users began accusing Kelly of involvement behind the scenes. AnMegyn Kelly quickly responded. She replied, “Are you crazy? There are rumors that you are. And also a dirty liar. This is actually confirmed.” Her response came as criticism increased online. Many users have already asked her to publicly condemn Candace Owens over the series.

The controversy began after Candace Owens released the trailer for Bride of Charlie, a series focusing on Erica Kirk, the widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. The trailer faced backlash online, with critics saying it showed Erica Kirk in a negative light.
Many conservative voices urged Megyn Kelly to speak out against Owens.However, this is not the first time Kelly has answered questions about Owens. On February 9, Megyn Kelly appeared on Piers Morgan’s show Uncensored. During that episode, Piers Morgan criticized Candace Owens for comments she made about Erika Kirke and Brigitte Macron. He called Owens’ statements “an unfortunate kind of conspiracy theory.”Morgan asked Kelly directly why she was hesitant to criticize Candace Owens.
In response, Megyn Kelly said she had criticized Owens “several times” over the years, and had been involved in many “public altercations” with her. She explained that she does not feel the need to respond to every controversy related to Owens.Now, with new rumors accusing her of helping to produce the series, Megyn Kelly has made her position clear. She denied any involvement and directly attacked the allegation, calling it false. There is no confirmed evidence to show that Megyn Kelly vetted the project or provided legal advice to Candace Owens’ team. So far, neither Candace Owens nor her team have publicly announced that Kelly had any role in the production of Bride of Charlie.
