Seven people were killed on Monday night after an air ambulance from Ranchi to Delhi crashed in Jharkhand’s Chatra district. According to the DGCA, all seven on board the aircraft, including pilot Captain Vivek Vikas Bhagat, were killed in the ill-fated accident.

Speaking to reporters, the father of the deceased pilots, DS Bhagat, mourned the loss of his son, saying he wanted to save lives by flying air ambulance aircraft.

“My son saved many lives by flying an air ambulance, but he lost his life today,” he told ANI. The father also added that Vikas was supposed to meet one of his relatives upon landing in Delhi for dinner.

“for him Chachi He kept dinner ready for him. He tells her that he will eat at home and is expected to reach Delhi at 9 pm. “However, she kept waiting till 11 pm for Vikas to come, after which we found out about the incident,” he added.

The seven people on board have been identified as Captain Vivek Vikas Bhagat, Captain Savrajdeep Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Dr Vikas Kumar Gupta, Sachin Kumar Mishra, Archana Devi and Duru Kumar.

The Beechcraft C90 VT-AJV, operated by Delhi-based Redbird Airways Pvt Ltd, took off from Ranchi at 7:11 pm while working to transport a patient to New Delhi. After take-off, the plane called Kolkata.

However, at approximately 7:34 p.m., the aircraft lost communications and radar contact.

“We got information around 10 pm that an accident had occurred… Reaching here was difficult considering the terrain… The Delhi team will come here to investigate and try to recover the black box… The total number of deaths is seven,” SP Sumit Kumar told news agency ANI.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation also offered its condolences over the accident and began an investigation into the accident. A team from the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) also visited the accident site to retrieve the black box and find the exact cause behind the accident.
