Imax grossed $28 million at the box office during the seven-day Lunar New Year period in China, with the thriller Pegasus 3 The film topped $24 million in ticket sales in its first week, the movie technology company said Monday.
That compares to Imax’s record-breaking $53 million at the box office during China’s Lunar New Year period in February 2025 from $36 million in ticket sales for the blockbuster animated film.
