How to make heart-shaped almond butter cups [Vegan]

Chocolate shell Chocolate shell

  1. Combine melted coconut oil, agave nectar, and vanilla in a bowl. Add the carob powder (or cocoa) and mix well until the mixture reaches a homogeneous consistency. It kind of gets
  2. It’s hard to stir since there’s no heat, but push it, it’s worth it!

Almond butter filling

  1. Melt the coconut oil and mix it with the almond butter. Good combination.
  2. Add the powdered sugar in two parts, stirring well after each and trying to remove any lumps that may have gathered.
  3. Fill the bottoms and sides of the candy molds with chocolate using a butter knife (the consistency will be very thick). I used silicone cupcake molds for larger chocolates, but you can really use any size as long as you have enough room in the molds to fill with the almond butter as well.
  4. Once the molds are coated with the chocolate mixture (about 1/8-1/4 inch), pour in heaping teaspoons of the almond butter mixture until the molds are almost full.
  5. Use the remaining chocolate mixture to cover the almond butter mixture and close the molds.
  6. Freeze for 1 hour to set, then enjoy!
