Indore: A viral video of a middle-aged woman being assaulted in Indore recently on suspicion of being a child lifter has sparked widespread outrage, but in a surprise development, the victim has also been reunited with her family.The woman’s daughter in Meerut saw the clip circulating on social media, and landed in Indore to return her mother, who had disappeared more than a year and a half ago.On February 6, 45-year-old Rekha Devi, a resident of Railway Road Colony in Meerut, was found wandering around Jeet Nagar in Indore under the jurisdiction of Bhanwarkuan police station. Locals attacked her, suspecting that she might be a paedophile.Her family said that the death of her son and brother affected her, and one day she disappeared without a trace, after which they filed a complaint about her disappearance.
