Akshay Bhatia, who had a two-point lead heading into the final round, stumbled with a 72 to finish sixth, three shots behind the winner of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am at Pebble Beach.
Bhatia, the 54-hole leader, struggled to maintain momentum on Sunday (Feb 15, 2026), managing just two birdies over the final 29 holes. He lost the lead on the first four holes of the final round and was unable to recover on the day when swirling winds and increasing pressure reshaped the leaderboard.
Fellow Indian-American Sahith Theegala scored 71 points to rank 60th.
However, the spotlight went to Collin Morikawa, who ended a 28-month winning streak with a strong performance in windy conditions. Morikawa shot a 5-under 67 to finish at 22-under 266, earning a one-stroke victory over Sepp Straka and Min-Woo Lee.
The two-time major champion has played in 45 matches since his last win at the PayCurrent Classic in Japan in October 2023. On Sunday, he performed under immense pressure.
After six players shared the lead at various stages in a dramatic final round, Morikawa controlled the ball with back-to-back shots, including a decisive 4-iron from 235 yards in the 18th minute.
He started the ball over the ocean wall and rode the wind back toward the green, then calmly putt the ball off the collar to secure the title.
To add more emotion to the moment, Morikawa revealed after the tour that he and his wife are expecting their first child this spring.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler launched a stunning attack. Starting the day eight shots behind, Scheffler was 7-under through seven holes and finished with an impressive 63 that included three eagles.
His final eagle — a 6-iron to 30 inches on the 18th — briefly tied him for the lead. In the end, he finished one shot short, tied for fourth alongside Tommy Fleetwood (66), and extended his streak to 18 consecutive top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour.
The tension was palpable at the pit closing as Morikawa endured a 20-minute wait between takes after Jacob Bridgman’s approach to a sandy area near the beach ended up in the ocean. Despite the delay and strong winds in the Pacific Ocean, Morikawa remained calm.
Lee’s closing 65, which included birdies on the final two holes, and a late bogey by Morikawa on the par-3 17th ensured a nerve-wracking finish.
But Morikawa’s poise in the closing stretch proved decisive, marking a long-awaited return to the winner’s circle in one of the PGA Tour’s signature events.
