The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will soon begin the process of recruiting teachers for over 40,000 vacant posts. BPSC Teachers Recruitment (TRE 4) notification will be released soon on the official website- bpsc.bih.nic.in. BPSC has shared a press release regarding the teacher recruitment process on its official website X handle. “Bihar Public Service Commission has received an application from the Department of Public Administration for appointment to the posts of Teacher and School Principal under the Education Department. Information regarding application will be published online by publishing a consolidated advertisement for appointment to the said posts soon on the official website of the commission,” BPSC said in a post on X Mentioned.

- Visit the official website- bpsc.bih.nic.in
- Click “Apply Online”
- Now, click on “BPSC Apply Online”
- Now, click on the notification link that reads “DEP Elementary School Principal Applies Online”
- A new application form will appear on the screen
- Now, enter all the required fields and submit the application form
- Take a printout for future reference.
BPSC Recruitment 2026: Application Fee
Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Women Candidates – Rs. 200/-
Other denominations – Rs. 750/-
Who is eligible?
Candidates who have passed the post-graduation stage with 50 percent marks are eligible to apply. Candidates from SC/ST/PwD/Women/EWS categories will get 5 per cent relaxation in the minimum qualifying score requirement.
Minimum Age: Candidates must be under 60 years of age to be eligible for this position.
BPSC Recruitment 2026: Exam Pattern
There are 150 multiple-choice objective questions in the BPSC Headmaster exam, worth a total of 150. The question paper will consist of two sections – General Studies and Diploma in Primary Education (DElEd), each of 75 marks – each containing an equal number of questions.
According to the marking system, applicants receive one mark for each correct answer, with a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The exam lasts for two and a half hours in total. To be eligible for the exam, candidates must obtain a score of at least 40 percent.
