President Donald Trump intends to release files related to extraterrestrial life. The Republican made the announcement on Truth Social, and the post was shared by the official White House handle as well.

“Based on the tremendous interest you have shown, I will direct the Secretary of War, and other relevant departments and agencies, to begin the process of identifying and publishing government files related to extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs),” Trump wrote.
This measure comes after former President Barack Obama confirmed the existence of aliens. Trump initially criticized Obama, saying he had provided classified information, but then announced that he would reveal the files.

While the announcement was met with mostly interest and enthusiasm, some critics wondered whether it served as a distraction from the ongoing controversy over the Epstein files.
Trump criticized amid Epstein files row
The Trump administration faced severe criticism over its handling of the Epstein files. Even after the Justice Department released the latest batch of files related to the late convicted child sex offender, Attorney General Pam Bondi was pulled over by lawmakers over her handling of the case.
Trump himself has tried to sidestep the matter, saying it’s time to “move on” from the Epstein files. Thus, the announcement of publishing files on alien life was met with criticism from some quarters.
One person pointed out Trump’s association with Epstein, linking it to the release of the files and stating how it was “the craziest thing.”
Another page noted, “Trump orders release of government files related to ‘alien and extraterrestrial life’ due to public interest. If it were truly about responding to the public interest, the full list of Epstein files would be released by now.”
“My hunch is the Trump administration is seizing on the alien narrative to avoid a fake alien invasion as the Epstein indictments come out,” another noted. One person described Trump’s move as a distraction from the “chaos,” saying, “This is stupid. People are screaming release the alien files. Trump released them. It’s just a distraction. Lol Epstein Mind Virus.”
Trump, whose name appears in Epstein’s documents, spoke today about the arrest of former Prince Andrew in the United Kingdom, describing it as a “disgrace.” However, when asked if there could be more arrests stemming from the files, Trump said he was “absolutely exonerated.”
