SBI Foundation, the CSR arm of State Bank of India Group, has started the registration process for SBI Youth Fellowship for India 2026. The fellowship is available to Indian citizens, OCIs, citizens of Nepal and Bhutan and SBI employees.

According to the SBI press release, the fellowship invites participants to go beyond the ordinary and immerse themselves in the heart of rural India, working alongside communities to reimagine possibilities, spark sustainable change, and play an active role in shaping a more inclusive and resilient future.

The duration of the fellowship is 13 months.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates with a graduation certificate can apply for the fellowship. – The age must range between 21 to 32 years. For SBI staff, they must be Standard I/II certified staff within SBI.

The SBI YFI Fellowship focuses on 12 thematic areas, including health, rural livelihoods, food security, environmental protection, education, water, technology, women’s empowerment, self-governance, social entrepreneurship, traditional crafts and alternative energy. Fellows work on one of these topics based on their interests during the 13-month program. After completing the fellowship, 70% of fellows pursued meaningful careers in the social sector, working in rural development, public policy/governance, academia, etc., thus enabling positive change.

Upon completion of the programme, Fellows are equipped and inspired to build impactful careers in the social entrepreneurship and development sectors.
