With boutiques, pop-ups and thrift markets, Chennai’s fashion scene is constantly evolving. At The RoGue Edit, Funky Fish, a local clothing label that organizes fashion shows, will showcase a collection of contemporary designers on February 19 and 20 at Folly, Amethyst. An immersive fashion experience, The RoGue Edit brings together 12 local designers from across India showcasing ripped jeans, corset tops, embroidered denim collection, contemporary silhouettes, dresses, street style and more for both men and women.
The pattern has been opened
The edit brings in labels like Hiro, Murupp, House of DK, Aamraii, Kay Kay, Wasted Wrld and more to present their collection for the first time in Chennai.
While showcasing fun and modern fashions, the event didn’t forget to incorporate inclusive sizing while designing collections specifically for each person.
In addition to clothing, the event also includes a display of jewelry from the Minerali brand with contemporary styles in the form of earrings and necklaces.
“The idea was to have fun with fashion. When you think sexy fashion, you think of a certain body type. We wanted to bring this to Chennai so that we can destigmatize contemporary, edgy fashion and make it an experimental, size-inclusive event,” said Pavitra Sagar, co-founder of Funky Fish.
A lonely celebration
Happy Socks will offer its collection of socks in different colors and bold prints that will add a fun and unique touch to the event. Besides, Sneaker Labs will have a dedicated shoe cleaning station at the event, allowing its customers to freshen up their favorite shoes. It offers a prominent feature that meets the needs of different audiences.
Where fun meets music
RoGue Edit is seen as a multi-layered experience that transcends fashion. The event consists of more than just a regular pop-up – with DJ Arihunt to thrill the crowd.
The event will include an interactive basketball activation area where visitors can shoot hoops, while 4 Degrees joins the remixes with a refreshing array of frozen yogurt scoops.
The edit aims to showcase fashion in a unique way that allows people to step out of their comfort zones.
