Proceedings came to a halt in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, with YSR Congress party members demanding a thorough discussion on the supply of ghee to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanms (TTD) purportedly Heritage Foods, owned by the family of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, through a Maharashtra-based dairy company.

YSRCP members, led by Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Botsa Satyanarayana, issued a notice of motion for adjournment seeking discussion on the issue. However, shortly after the session began, Council Speaker Koyi Moshe Raju rejected the notice.
Satyanarayana alleged that Heritage Foods was supplying ghee to TTD during the Naidu regime under the guise of Indapur Dairy, based in Gokhale in Maharashtra. He called for the issue to be discussed in the Legislative Council. “Chandrababu Naidu conspired to benefit his family-owned Heritage Foods by securing TTD ghee contracts through Indapur Dairy,” he said.
Meanwhile, state Information and Public Relations Minister K Parthasarathi strongly criticized their behaviour. He accused the opposition party of staging a “drama” in the House to divert attention from the alleged irregularities related to laddus and adulterated ghee during the YSRCP’s tenure.
The minister asserted that Heritage Foods had no connection with TTD’s ghee supplies from Indapur Dairy and said that neither the government nor the public had suffered any loss because of the company. He alleged that YSRCP leaders were trying to escape accountability for the Tirumala Laddu cheating case by raising irrelevant allegations.
Heritage Foods Limited has already clarified that it has absolutely no connection with the ghee supplies produced by Indapur Dairy.
