Amidst the desperate search for Nancy Guthrie, investigators are confident they have located the location where the armed assailant, caught on surveillance footage at Savannah Guthrie’s mother’s residence, bought her clothing. The incident happened when he arrived at the 84-year-old’s home at night, giving law enforcement additional insight into his identity.

Investigators have identified where the armed assailant found the clothing used in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie. (via REUTERS)According to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, the zip-up fleece jacket, pants and ski mask worn by the suspected kidnapper were purchased at Walmart, CBS News reports.

Additionally, the backpack carried by the alleged kidnapper, identified as a black Ozark Trail hiker, was also purchased at Walmart, according to CBS News.

Authorities did not say whether the alleged assailant bought the items online or at a physical store, nor did they specify which store it might be, CBS reported. Investigators spent several days reviewing surveillance footage from Walmart locations across Arizona.

Walmart has yet to issue a statement amid the ongoing search for Nancy.

Nancy Guthrie Case: 16 Gloves DiscoveredAuthorities discovered 16 gloves near the residence, primarily belonging to searchers who had discarded them. However, an FBI representative told Fox News that the glove containing the DNA profile was unique and matched the gloves worn by the man in the surveillance footage.

Meanwhile, host of the Today show, Savannah made a heartfelt plea just two weeks after her cherished mother went missing. “It’s been two weeks since our mom was taken. And I just wanted to come forward and say that we still have hope. And we still believe,” he said.

“I wanted to tell her where she is or where she is that it’s never too late. And you’re never lost or alone. And it’s never too late to do the right thing. And we’re here. We believe. And we believe in the essential goodness of every human being. And it’s never too late,” she added.

Authorities say the suspect is male, with an average build of 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall. At the time, he was seen carrying a black 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack.
