Such language is not only hurtful and disappointing to our viewers, partners and employees – it is inconsistent with HGTV’s values,” the channel said in a statement, according to The Independent. “Accordingly, we have removed the series from all HGTV platforms. We remain dedicated to fostering a culture of respect and inclusion throughout our content and our workplace,” the statement continued.
Curtis also apologized after the incident. The message delivered through his team was: “He takes full responsibility for their impact, regardless of the context. What happened was a clear slip of the tongue – an incorrect version of one of his well-known expressions – spoken after 17 hours of physically demanding work and very little sleep. Still, he realizes that intent doesn’t erase impact, and he’s truly So News.”

Who is Nicole Curtis? Curtis is best known for hosting Rehab Addict. The show first premiered in October 2010 and was set to begin a ninth season on February 11, but it has now been removed from the network.
According to his website, Curtis was “working on the old house long before the show was called.” When the show premiered she was “burning both ends of the candle, as a young mother. Juggling real estate, design, home restoration and selling junk on Craigslist,” the site added.
He has two sons, Ethan and Harper. According to reports, Curtis and ex-partner Shane Maguire were in a custody battle over son Harper. That was in 2015 and speaking to PEOPLE last year about that time, Curtis said “Our family has been through a lot over the years, and so it’s definitely something that I’ve tried my best to keep my family out of the public eye and focus on the homes. We’ve always wanted to focus on that.”
