Talking about the economic situation, Afridi said that Pakistan’s total debt has exceeded ₹Of which 80,000 billion ₹36,000 billion in associated foreign debt.

Afridi said that peaceful protest is a constitutional and legal right of every citizen and it is the people’s prerogative to exercise this right.
He said that, as directed by the Chief Justice, Khan should undergo an immediate medical examination by his personal physicians by February 16 and take the nation into confidence.
Khan has been in jail since August 5, 2023, when he was arrested at his Lahore residence after being convicted in a corruption case. He is currently lodged in the high security Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
