“His Excellency, the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, will be on a state visit to India from February 18 to 22, 2026. President Lula will participate in the 2nd AI Summit, which will be held here in Delhi on February 19 to 20,” Jaiswal said.

He also said that the main day of the official state visit will be the bilateral meeting on February 21.

The President of Brazil will be hosted by the President of India and will meet the Vice President and other dignitaries.

Business delegation with LulaPresident Lula will be accompanied by a business delegation that will explore trade and Investment opportunities in India.

“The main day of the state visit to Brazil will be on February 21. President Lula will be hosted by our Hon’ble President on that day, and several other dignitaries will meet him, including the Hon’ble Vice President of India,” the spokesperson said.

He will be accompanied by several ministers. MEA announced that a series of engagements are planned to facilitate interaction with the visiting delegation.

“With this, we have made an announcement about the second leader who will visit India for the AI ​​summit and bilateral discussions,” the MEA spokesperson added.

Other leaders will be announced later.

“We will give you more details about the other leaders who are coming to the AI ​​Summit. Hopefully, you will get it soon. It will help you prepare your coverage of the AI ​​Summit, as well as write about the international engagement at the summit, which is going to be held here in New Delhi on a grand scale,” Jaiswal added.

According to a report by Brasil 247, this is part of Brazil’s broader strategy to reduce dependence on traditional partners such as the United States and China and increase engagement with emerging economies such as India.

The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (APEXBRASIL) opened the accreditation to 200 business leaders with delegations.

At the end of the registration process, around 150 private-sector representatives confirmed their participation based on strong corporate interest in the Indian market.
