The FBI released new footage in the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping case. Photos and videos of his home show the alleged suspect at the door. A man can be seen wearing a ski mask and gloves, and the visuals show a man with a weapon and a backpack. However, they are not visible everywhere, leading many to assume that the video captures two people.

This combo from images provided by the FBI shows surveillance footage of Nancy Guthrie’s home the night she disappeared in Tucson, Arizona. (AP)Now, an investigative expert who recently weighed in on the Celeste Rivas-D4vd case also opined that it appears to be ‘two different people’ in the FBI footage.

Guthrie, 84, was reported missing on February 1. Authorities believe he was taken from his home near Tucson, Arizona, the night before. With the new footage coming out, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding son-in-law Tommaso Cioni. He was said to be the last person before Guthrie was taken, as he released him on January 31 after his mother-in-law had dinner with Sioni’s wife and their daughter, Annie Guthrie. Former News Nation journalist, Ashleigh Banfield, also reported that Sioni was a suspect, although authorities dismissed the claim. Sioni’s former band member Dominic Evans has also been dragged into the spotlight with allegations of his past crimes.

Despite the outcry, authorities have clarified that they have not yet named suspects or persons of interest in the case. Online speculation surrounding Cione and Evans has also yielded no evidence linking them to the new footage. However, Steve Fisher, the private investigator who found the limelight during the Celeste Rivas case has now weighed in on the ‘two suspects’ theory.

What the PI had to say about the Nancy Guthrie case”It sure looks like two different people on surveillance to me,” Fisher wrote in X. He added, “And why did an Adult Protective Services investigator put a card on the door before the crime took place? Their website says they are ‘responsible for investigating allegations of abuse, exploitation and neglect of vulnerable adults’.”

It is not known if there are more than one suspect. Some of the people at X noted that this was the same person seen without the backpack.

Authorities did not comment on the possibility of multiple suspects being caught on camera. Notably, in recent developments, the Guthrie case has been associated with the SWAT movement. TMZ reports that authorities believe the person who wrote the ransom note is from Tucson, noting that the notes contain clues about their location. Although the working theory is that the sender of the note has custody of Guthrie, this is not an established fact.

Investigators believe time was of the essence in Guthrie’s case because the octogenarian would not have been in good health without his daily medication. Guthrie reportedly has cardiac problems, high blood pressure and uses a pacemaker.
