(AFP/File Photo)Several districts have witnessed gruesome discoveries over the past few days, renewing criticism of the state’s security handling in the province, reports The Balochistan Post.

According to The Balochistan Post, the body of an unidentified man was recovered from the Jantri Kor stream at Buleda in Kech.

Residents who saw the wreckage said the victim appeared to have been shot. Authorities have not clarified the man’s identity or a possible motive behind the killing.

The body has been shifted to a medical facility to complete legal formalities, while uncertainty surrounding the case continues.

In another incident earlier in the week, three bodies were found in Rara Sham area of Musa Khele in Loralai Division.

Two of the dead were Anwar Jan’s son Farid and Khair Muhammad’s son Mujib ur Rahman. The third person remains unidentified.

Local residents described the bodies as severely mutilated, suspecting that they had been abused or tortured before death.

As highlighted by The Balochistan Post, officials took the bodies away for postmortem examination and documentation.

Separately, eyewitnesses at the hub alleged that security personnel of the Frontier Corps, along with officials of the Counter Terrorism Department, detained Sohrab Baloch from the vicinity of Baloch Colony.

Detentions are reported to have occurred in public without the production of an arrest warrant.

Family members said they were not told where he was taken or what charges might be filed against him.

Relatives also alleged that Sohrab had previously disappeared under similar circumstances in 2017 and 2019, each time reappearing days or weeks later.

They claimed that no case was registered against him and demanded that if the state had any charges, he would be produced in court as per legal process, as reported by Balochistan Post.
