In mounting trouble for Andrew, brother of the United Kingdom’s King Charles, who was stripped of his royal title last year, Buckingham Palace on Monday stepped up support for any police investigation into his links to convicted American sex offender and trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
According to a Buckingham Palace spokesman, King Charles expressed concern about the allegations against his brother and his relationship with Epstein. (File photo/Reuters)It comes after a barrage of recently released Epstein documents revealed that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor shared sensitive information and documents about British business with Epstein, Reuters reported.
According to a Buckingham Palace spokesman, King Charles expressed concern about the allegations against his brother and his relationship with Epstein. “The King has made clear, by word and unprecedented action, his deep concern about the allegations about Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct that are about to come to light,” the spokesman said.

King Charles’ son Prince William and his wife Kate also broke their silence on the matter and said on Monday they were deeply concerned about the revelations. “Their thoughts remain with the victims,” their spokeswoman said, without directly referring to Prince William’s uncle.
Andrew shared British trade documents with Epstein? The British royal family’s latest comments come after millions of documents and emails related to Epstein were recently released, some of which suggested Andrew shared official British trade documents with the discredited US financier in 2010. The documents were reportedly shared after Epstein was convicted of child sex crimes.

According to documents released by the US Department of Justice, Andrew apparently sent reports to Epstein about his official visits as the UK’s special trade envoy to Vietnam, Singapore and elsewhere.
Although Andrew has so far denied any wrongdoing and has not spoken since the release of the latest Epstein-linked documents, Thames Valley Police said they had been informed of the matter and were considering whether to formally investigate it.
