Unconfirmed reports circulating on social media claim that the University of St. Thomas campus in St. Paul, Minnesota has been placed on lockdown.

Social Media ReportSeveral local residents also posted online that one armed campus police confirmed.
“The person with the weapon has been confirmed, that’s all Campus Police has shared,” one person wrote on Facebook.
Another added, “My son goes there – he got a warning but I didn’t see anything else or record anything.”
A third said, “I know someone who goes there and yes it’s on lockdown now.”
Another wrote, “My granddaughter is there and saw officers running into the student center next door with assault rifles.”
So far, authorities have not issued an official statement, and details are limited. The situation has not been independently confirmed.
