“While in flight, I noticed a newspaper with a photo from one of my movies,” he wrote. “Not understanding the language, I asked the air hostess what it said. She told me it was a poster of an Indian film and the paper mentioned that the actor was coming to the country.”

What happened after he landed was completely unexpected. Bachchan recalls that it was almost impossible to get through immigration as soon as he got off the plane, he was surrounded by crowds.
The situation went out of control when the authorities immediately intervened. “People surrounded me, and even walking became difficult,” he recalls. “The chaos got so bad that the police pulled me out of the crowd, took me out of the airport and straight to my hotel.
“Bachchan revealed that he completed his immigration process at the hotel itself.
He said he was suffocated by the huge crowd. Throughout his stay, he was accompanied by police escorts and patrol vehicles, whether he attended official engagements or went exploring.
