Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny is set to headline the Super Bowl LX halftime show at Levi’s Stadium in California on February 8. His performance is expected to be a historic moment that could become politically charged as well as musically memorable.

The music video for her song “Nueville” is a bold statement as the video shows a flag in support of Puerto Rican independence perched atop the Statue of Liberty. Many fans are also speculating that at the end of the video, Trump can be heard apologizing to immigrants in America.

Out of concern for the safety of his fans during ICE raids as part of President Trump’s immigration crackdown, Bad Bunny has decided not to perform in the United States on his 2025-2026 concert tour.

Will Bad Bunny perform “Compositor del Año” at Super Bowl halftime?The Super Bowl teaser, which features Bad Bunny’s hit song “Bailey Unlovable,” conveys a message of unity and dancing. There was no information in the trailer about the complete setlist of Bad Bunny’s cast.

However, The Independent’s music editor Roisin O’Connor has made a list of her predictions. Connor topped the list with “EoO” as the track won a Grammy Award for Best Global Music Performance.

Connor also highlighted that his Grammy-winning album, Debbie Tira’s Mass Photos, will no doubt feature in the mix of performances.

Connor, however, does not mention “compositor del anno” in his list. Moreover, the anti-Trump song was released on Soundcloud in 2020 and is not officially listed in Bad Bunny’s discography. Therefore, it is unlikely that the song will be performed at the Super Bowl.

However, there has been no official confirmation from Bad Bunny or the NFL whether anti-Trump songs will be listed on the setlist.

What makes the anti-Trump “composer of the year”?The song’s Spanish lyrics clearly refer to a president “who doesn’t do anything.” There is also a reference to the Black Lives Matter movement for the death of George Floyd, the death of athlete Kobe Bryant, and Covid, which were all historical events of 2020.

The country’s president in 2020 is also Donald Trump, leading to speculation among fans that the song is a criticism of the country’s then-president.
