Three members of a family were killed when a speeding Audi car rammed their bike from behind in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district on Saturday afternoon, police said.
Police sent the body for post-mortem and seized the Audi. Police are working to identify the owner of the vehicle. (PTI/Representative)The deceased were identified as Bhagwat Vishwakarma (51), his son Shivam Vishwakarma (23), and niece Sheetal Vishwakarma (28), all residents of Kostha village.
Rewar Superintendent of Police (SP) Shailendra Chauhan said the family met with an accident near Koshtha village on their way to the Chirhula Nath temple to give marriage invitations. Rewa- Raipur Road.

“The motorcyclists were trying to cross the road or take a turn when a speeding Audi hit them from behind. The impact was so severe that all three riders fell on the road,” he said.
The passengers tried to stop him but the driver fled.

Eyewitnesses said the car was traveling at a speed of more than 150 km per hour.

An FIR has been registered under Section 106 (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS).
