Actor Sunil Shetty has praised Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’, calling the director’s vision “brilliant”. He revealed that he had earlier acted in Dhar’s stalled film ‘The Immortal Aswatthama’. Shetty praised Ranveer Singh’s performance, saying he excelled others with his unique character, and praised Dhar’s understanding of post-pandemic audiences and long-format narratives.
Aditya Dhar‘Dhurandhar’ has been garnering attention since its release. Following its theatrical success, the film has now made its way to OTT platforms, where it continues to capture the attention of viewers.
Actor Sunil Shetty also recently opened up about the film and shared his views.
Sunil Shetty revealed that he acted in Aditya Dhar’s ‘Ashwathama’.
In an interview with Lehren Retro, Shetty revealed that she was originally supposed to be a part of Aditya Dhar’s film ‘Dhurandhar’. He starred in ‘The Immortal Aswatthama’ which was ultimately shelved due to various reasons. This image is intended for feature Vicky Kaushal was in the lead, but due to budget constraints and changing market conditions, Aditya decided to cancel the project.

The actor said, “I was supposed to play a role in Aditya’s film ‘Ashwathama’. But it got shelved. Everyone signed it, everything was done. But when I saw ‘Dhurandhar’, I thought, ‘If I am a part of it’, everyone praised Akshay Khanna as the best in the film, but I thought it was Aditya.” Ranveer Singh Much better than him. Akshay’s character is great, with the background music, the audience can see that everything is working in his favour.
But Ranveer is having none of that, though he shines. how Because he created his own character. His body, his looks and especially his eyes.”

Appreciating Sunil Dhar’s vision, “Nowadays people ask how a movie can be 3 hours and 40 minutes long. But Aditya Dhar understands the pulse of the audience very well. He knows that people are used to binge watching after Covid-19. People can sit for 6-7 hours and watch entire web series in one go. I will give you a more amazing experience.”
