Gold, Silver Rate Live Update Today: On Friday, gold and silver recovered early losses. However, a brief recovery earlier this week led to a second straight week of global declines as tech equities and a stronger US dollar erased gains made by metals. Spot gold was up 0.4% at $4,790.80 an ounce by 0224 GMT, but down 1.4% for the week. U.S. gold futures for April delivery fell 1.7% to $4,806.50 an ounce, Reuters reported.

In India, silver prices fell sharply on Thursday, down 9% ₹2,44,654 in MCX. However, gold prices rose in India on Thursday ₹5,510 for 24-carat gold, transacted ₹1,59,730 per 10 grams. 22 carat gold was similarly priced ₹1,46,440 per 10 grams, registering a profit ₹5,050.
