'Didn't realize how serious it was': An open mind about his first state award

Actress Bhavana reflects on her early career, admitting that she did not realize the significance of her Kerala State Film Award at a young age. She also recalled her first international tour for shooting a song in ‘Swapnakudu’. Bhavana, who never planned her acting career, is now gearing up for her 90th film ‘Anomie’, slated to release on February 6.

“When I received the Kerala State Film Award, I didn’t understand the seriousness of it at that time,” Bhavana said in an interview with Perle Mane. She said she was very young then and did not know how much people would appreciate such awards.

Bhavana remembers her first foreign trip

Bhavana also shared a sweet memory of her early career. She said that she had to shoot a song called Karuppinajaku in the film Swapnakudu which was the first international tour of her life.“My first international trip was for the shooting of the song ‘Karuppinajaku’ in ‘Swapnakudu’. The farthest I had traveled till then was Chennai.”Bhavana also added that the song was shot in Switzerland, Vienna and Austria. She said that the film also starts with that song, and at that time such an idea seemed very new and novel.

Bhavana talks about how acting came into her life

Bhavana says she never planned her acting career. She said it happened one after the other.

She said, “I never planned my career and started acting. It just happened. I was only fifteen or sixteen then.” She shared that even as a child she always wanted to be an actress and told everyone the same thing. After her 10th standard, that opportunity came to her. That’s when ‘Nammaal’, ‘Chronic Bachelor’ and ‘Swapnakudu’ came into her life.

Looking back, she says, it still feels like a dream.

Bhavana explained why she did not realize the importance of her award

“Even when my performance in Nammal was mentioned by the state government’s special jury, I didn’t realize how serious and important it was,” revealed the ‘Anomy’ actor.Bhavana said she realized the value much later when people remind her how special it is for someone to achieve such recognition at such a young age. She says that she is thankful now because she knows how much love the audience gave her at such a young age.

Bhavana’s next film ‘Anomy’ is all set for release

Bhavana’s next film ‘Anomy’ is gearing up to hit the theaters on February 6. She said that the film is not just a simple investigation story, it shows another side of investigation in a very deep and very creative way. She played the role of a forensic analyst named Sara in the film.‘Anomy’ will also be Bhavana’s 90th film and she feels happy and grateful when she thinks about how long her journey has been.
