Titled Durandhar: The Revenge, Durandhar 2 is all set to release soon. Durandhar (Part 1) continues to create new records at the box office. On the same day as the teaser of Durandhar 2, the first part reached a big milestone. The film crossed the 4 crore (40 million) mark in India. With this, Durandhar joins the select group of 19 films in the history of Indian cinema to have attracted such huge audiences to theatres. This achievement is considered very important.

Durandhar Box Office Achievements

Ranveer Singh starrer Durandhar released in theaters on December 5, 2025. The film had a good opening but not a huge one, on its first day it collected around Rs. 30 crore earned. The film’s earnings steadily increased, and the film broke several single-day collection records. With this strong performance, the film grossed Rs 800 crore nett in its seventh week in January and grossed approximately Rs 1000 crore.

Durand has set a new record

According to trade experts, considering the average ticket price in India to be Rs 250, Durantar has reached 4 crore viewers this week. It is the first Bollywood film to reach this number in the last 24 years. Prior to this, Sunny Deol’s film Ghadar in 2001 had set a record of around 5 crore collections. A Hindi film reaching this milestone after a long time is considered a huge achievement for the industry.

Durandhar wins all time blockbusters

Durandhar has now become the 19th highest footfall film in India. Films like Sholay, Baahubali 2, Mughal-e-Azam, Mother India have sold more than 10 crore tickets. Although Durandhar did not reach that number, it surpassed many all-time blockbuster films. The film has more hits than Aamir Khan’s Dangal and PK, Sunny Deol’s Border and Shah Rukh Khan’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum.

Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal are playing the lead roles. Durandhar grossed approximately Rs 1300 crore worldwide and has now become one of the highest grossing Indian films of all time.
