As the search continues in the Tucson area for Nancy Guthrie, the mother of NBC’s Today Show host Savannah Guthrie, Sheriff Chris Nanos of Pima County, Arizona held a news conference Tuesday about the search operation.

Nanos was asked by reporters that 48 hours after her disappearance, Nancy Guthrie had not been able to take a vital drug without which she could not survive “a day”.
“Any indication that Nancy Guthrie is still alive?” CBS reporter Jonathan Vigliotti asked Nanos. “We know the medicine played an important role here. It’s been 48 hours. He’s needed every day. Are you looking for someone who’s still alive?”
Nanos replied: “We hope we are. We hope we are.”
Nanos was also asked if there was a ransom demand for Nancy Guthrie, as they were investigating it as a possible kidnapping. Nanos responded that they were investigating all leads and did not release details about the possible ransom call. “We’re following every lead…I won’t go into them,” he said.
The latest in Nancy Guthrie’s questOn Tuesday, details of the investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance emerged. The Pima County Sheriff’s Office said “some blood” was found at the home in Catalina, Arizona, which will prove important to the investigation. “I’m not saying there’s blood inside the house or outside the house,” Nanos said

Additionally, authorities also revealed that Nancy Guthrie’s pacemaker had stopped syncing with her Apple Watch, an update that raised further concerns about her health.
However, so far, investigators have no concrete information on Nancy Guthrie’s whereabouts. “We don’t know where he is,” he said.
