Atiya went on to say that at that stage in her career, she had limited interactions with influential people, and Epstein’s connections seemed like a refreshing experience. “Everything about him seemed extravagant and exclusive, including the fact that he lived in the largest house in Manhattan, owned a Boeing 727, and hosted parties with the most powerful and prominent leaders in business and politics. I viewed that access as something to be quiet about rather than freely discussing with others.”

He expressed his displeasure after discovering the Epstein investigation in 2018. “At that point, I told him straight up that he had to take responsibility for what he did,” he said.

Atiya is cited 1741 times in the Epstein file, the most egregious example being the email he himself cited in his statement, in which he claimed that female genitalia could be classified as “low carb.”

Peter Attia has apologized, regretting his past actionsWhile apologizing, he said, “This letter does nothing to minimize the harm done by the young women Epstein abused. Their trauma is permanent.”

He admitted that he regretted his past actions and statements, saying: “The man I am today, almost ten years later, would not write them and would not be associated with Epstein at all. No amount of progress I’ve made over the past decade will erase the emails I wrote back then.”

“I recognize that my actions and words have consequences for people I care deeply about, all of you. I am sorry for the cost this has cost you and I take responsibility for it. I will not ask anyone to defend me or explain things to me on my behalf. If you have any questions or concerns, I will address them directly with you, with my team.”

An email correspondence, dated July 12, 2017, indicates that Atiya wanted to meet with Epstein the next morning.

In her statement, however, Atiya did not mention this specific incident as she lamented her general association with Epstein.
