His last win came in 2024, when he won both pop vocal album and album of the year for “Midnights.” However, his presence tonight is doubtful. While there is no official word from her team, popular entertainment and lifestyle portal SheKnows reports that fans won’t be surprised if she sits out.
He last walked out of the show in 2022, despite ‘Evermore’ earning an Album of the Year nomination.
The reason for her absence from the ballot is simple: her latest release, ‘Life of a Showgirl’, was dropped on October 3, 2025. This falls outside the 2026 Grammy eligibility window, which spanned from August 31, 2024 to August 30, 2025. Instead it will be his 12th studio album. The Grammys
Grammys executive producer Ben Winston addressed rumors of Taylor being a surprise performer this year. In an interview with HITS, he said, “The only reason people think Taylor is performing or coming is because HITS decided to print it this week and put it on their HITS list, and it’s picked up worldwide. But HITS totally made it up. And now I’m asking about it by you, as if it was a real thing, when it was made in your office”!

In those texts, Swift referred to Baldoni as a “b***h” with a “tiny violin,” a comment that quickly spread across social media. According to TMZ, Taylor may be subpoenaed as a hostile witness if the trial proceeds in May.
The prospect of Taylor taking the position is said to have shaken Kells. Sensing the tension in Blake’s behavior, she urged him to distance himself quickly, according to reports.
An insider said, “He was very much in her ear, because he believed Blake’s behavior towards Taylor was offensive.”
